In level poorly-drained pasture. The monument consists of a central flat-topped roughly circular mound (diam. 24m; H 1.5m) surrounded by a broad flat-tppped earthen bank (Wth 12m; H 1.5m) with an external fosse and a counter-scarp bank. A Neolithic barrow with a surrounding bank and fosse, dating to approximately 4000–2500 BCE. It represents an early form of ceremonial or funerary earthwork, significant for understanding prehistoric burial practices and landscape use.
