Bowman (1934, 468) recorded levelled 'tumulus' on F. MacAuliffe's land; 'Diameter of surrounding fence, 29 feet. Diam. of base of mound 17 feet'. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
