In pasture 140m N of the summit of Cromwell Hill (OD 586 feet). Ring-barrow (LI033-050002-) lies 65m to SW and bowl-barrow (LI033-050001-) 140m to S. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 55; AP 5/2022) as a circular-shaped cropmark. Visible as a circular-shaped area (diam. c. 7.5m) enclosed by a bank with external fosse on OSi orthophotos taken between 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. Ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its location within a group of barrows suggests it is part of a ceremonial or funerary landscape significant to prehistoric communities in the region.
