Barrow

On low-lying, wet pasture, which is cut by land drains and watercourses. Within a large complex of ring-barrows and abutting ring-barrow (LI023-226005-) to SE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a penannular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 15702: AP 4/3665). Monument is not visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 or on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017. A Neolithic ring-barrow, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE, associated with early communal burial practices in Ireland. Its location within a larger complex suggests it is part of a significant ceremonial or funerary landscape.
