Barrow, mound barrow

What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle N-facing slope overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Small, low, circular, flat-topped mound of earth and stone (diam. 6.75m) defined from W-N-NNE and at ESE by a scarp faced with large stones or boulders (H 0.8m). Elsewhere the perimeter has been levelled and only its outline is identifiable. At the centre of the top of the mound is a large boulder. Compiled by: Patrick F.
