What is recorded here

In lush pasture on a gently W-facing slope. Remains of circular area (dims. c. 5.5m N-S; c. 6m E-W) defined by shallow fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.15m). Interior generally level and same height as exterior ground level. Identified as a ring-ditch on an aerial photograph (OS 2347 and 2397/6 mono). Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its construction reflects early mound-building traditions associated with burial and ritual practices in Ireland.
