What is recorded here

In reclaimed wet pasture, a possible enclosure (LI040-151----) lies 130m to the NE. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Possible site identified during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/10,000, 61) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. Monument visible as a circular cropmark (diam. c. 6m) in a field with drainage channels and cultivation ridges running E-W on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/03/2018. A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence indicates early ceremonial or funerary activity in the Ballyvulhane area, though further investigation is needed to confirm its exact type and significance.
