Single-arch limestone road bridge over the River Owenanare, built c. 1830. Coursed rubble walls and parapets, terminating in square-plan piers with caps. Tooled cut-stone string courses above round arch with tooled cut-stone voussoirs. Replacement stone walling to west end of south parapet. Nationalist monument to south-east.

This sturdy bridge is a testament to the skill of local engineering and craftsmanship of the early 1800s. Its significance is increased by its association with the 1916 Easter Rising. I.R.A. companies from Kanturk, Boherbue, Tullylease and Meeling met at this bridge on Easter Sunday 1916, hoping to receive arms from The Aud, a German ship, for use on Easter Monday.
