Freestanding single-bay single-stage water tower, commissioned 1861[?]; extant 1893, on a square plan. Decommissioned, 1965. Now disused. Tuck pointed snecked rock faced limestone walls with drag edged rock faced cut-limestone flush quoins to corners supporting cast-iron water tank on lichen-covered tooled cut-limestone "cornice". Round-headed window opening with cut-limestone sill, and drag edged rock faced cut-limestone block-and-start surround framing timber boarded fitting behind wrought iron bars. Set on tarmacadam platform in grounds shared with Ballyhaunis Railway Station.
