St Coleman's church lost a pointed limestone doorway during post-1983 alterations, leaving behind only an inscribed jamb bearing IHS Maria INS in early seventeenth-century lettering. The missing doorcase vanished into uncertainty while the church changed shape around the gap. What remains is a small wound in the wall, preserving the names of Mary and Jesus but forgetting the threshold where people once crossed into prayer.
