Entrance sweep, c.1820, comprising pair of wrought-iron double-leaf gates flanked by square-profile piers and curved walls with segmental-headed openings having moulded surrounds and keystone, one opening blind and one with wrought-iron pedestrian gate. Two-storey house with pitched slate roofs, rendered walls and square-headed openings within.
A fine entrance which makes an imposing addition to the streetscape. Leading to Annsville House, it is an indicator of the grandeur of the house. Annsville and its associated mill once played an important role in the local community.
