Zennor Cliff is a sea cliff composed primarily of Upper Devonian slate and schist, formed through the metamorphism of ancient mudstones and siltstones under high pressure and temperature. The cliff is notable for its association with the Zennor Head area, a prominent coastal headland in north Cornwall known for its geological diversity and the nearby Zennor Church, linked to local folklore including the legend of the mermaid.
