Pendour Cove from Trewey Cliff consists of Upper Devonian slate and sandstone, formed around 370 million years ago through the deposition and compression of sediments in a shallow marine environment. The area is notable for its well-exposed coastal cliffs, which provide a classic example of Devonian rock formations in Cornwall.
