What is recorded here

Detached stepped gable-fronted five-bay two-storey former garage, built c.1940, now in use as a wholesale outlet. Pitched corrugated-iron roof. Brick walls to ground floor with string course above and rendered walls to first floor. Recessed fascia panels above display windows. Steel casement windows to first floor. Timber glazed windows and doors to ground floor.
The design of this stepped gable-fronted former garage is simple and functional. The form and features are typical of garages of this era in Ireland. The building is an interesting, well designed mid twentieth-century building in the predominantly nineteenth-century streetscape.
