What is recorded here
Winds fill the sails, not memories. Men watched the cups tilt and drain the sky. The stump still stands where the mill disappeared. It is not a tomb, but a living wound in the earth. The chamber below is not forgotten, it is waiting for the owner to return.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as WINDMILL STUMP (c.f. IHR 2795 for details). Recorded period: C19TH. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
