Natural spring/well with cut and rubble limestone surround, erected c.1750, possibly in earlier use as a holy well. Roughly cut stone basin to base. Located in a field to the northeast of Ballinlig House (15402418) and to the south of Ballymore.

A subtle and unassuming element of the built heritage of Westmeath. This spring/well is still in active use and, according to local folklore, this spring never runs dry. This spring may have been in use as a holy well but is not recorded as an archaeological site and there is no early monastic site in close proximity. It is a curious element of the local folklore and cultural heritage.
