In estuarine clay, on E side of Deel estuary. Described by O'Sullivan (2001, 145-7 & 309) as 'V-shaped wooden fishtrap ... constructed of two converging post-and-wattle fences, oriented as flood weir, with shore and flood fences measuring 26m and 4.5m in length'. A single vertical post from the largest fence provided a radiocarbon date which indicated that the trap was build some time between the mid-eleventh and early thirteenth century AD (ibid., 150).
