Wee Binnian is a sea cliff located in County Down, composed primarily of basalt formed during the Paleogene period, around 60 to 55 million years ago, as a result of intense volcanic activity associated with the opening of the North Atlantic. It is notable for its columnar jointing, a striking feature of the region's basaltic landscape.
