Kealanine holds a wedge tomb on a rocky ridge shoulder, its narrow gallery aligned east to west and wide enough for one person to crawl through. Three stones on each side step down like a descending staircase, while two roof stones still bridge the top. The west end has surrendered to a field fence, blending ancient death into ordinary farm life. Nobody knows who built it or who lies inside, but the shape still points toward the horizon as if waiting for someone to return.
On N-facing shoulder of rocky ridge. Wedge-shaped gallery (L 3.7m; Wth 1.1, at E), aligned E-W; W end incorporated in field fence. N and S sides each formed of three stones, decreasing in height W->E; inset backstone at E end; covered by two roof stones. No indications of mound. (Ó Nualláin 1989, 135).

Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its wedge-shaped gallery and construction using decreasing stone heights are characteristic of the transition from megalithic to smaller funerary traditions in southwest Ireland.
