Wedge tomb in Doire Na Sagart stands as a ruined gallery two point eight metres long on the south-facing slope of Knockacommeen, its large sidestones still overlapping lower slabs at the western end. The monument emerged from cut-away bog, suggesting the earth itself once smothered the chamber before human tools revealed the stones. A displaced roofstone lies at the southeast end, and a single buttress stone marks the outside south wall, preserving the shape of a entrance now lost. The decreasing height of the sidestones from west to east gives the tomb its wedge form, while two upright slabs beyond the western end may have formed an outer wall.

In cut-away bog on edge of shoulder high up on S-facing slope of Knockacommeen in Derrynasaggart Mountains. Comprises ruined gallery (L 2.8m; Wth c. 1m) aligned NE-SW, represented by large sidestones to N and S overlapped to W by two lower slabs, inset backstone at E end, and sill-like stone at W end. Single buttress-stone outside gallery to S. Sidestones decrease in height from W to E. Two upright slabs beyond and flanking W end of gallery may be outer-wall stones. Displaced roofstone lies at SE end of gallery. Monument clearly once covered by bog. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its location on a prominent upland slope suggests ritual or funerary significance, typical of wedge tombs in the Irish landscape.
