Wedge tomb in Carriganimmy stands on a gentle west-facing slope above a Keel River tributary, its three-metre gallery leaning NNW-SSE because living rock forced the builders to bend their line. Two roofstones still bridge the chamber while collapsed walling spills across the grass, marking a place where people once laid the dead beneath the sky. The stones do not demand belief, but they do demand attention: a small chamber, a sharp angle, and a valley that has kept its shape since before written memory.

On gentle W-facing slope at head of valley of tributary of Keel River. Comprises partly collapsed gallery (L c. 3m) aligned NNW-SSE, apparently incorporating outcropping rock as gallery sides at S end. Upright slab divides entrance to N; outer walling survives along E and is doubled at NW side. Gallery covered by two roofstones. Field clearance material piled at N end of monument. Interpretation as wedge-tomb consistent with surviving remains; use of outcropping rock may account for atypical orientation. Wedge-tomb (6386) 800m to SW. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its construction reflects a regional megalithic tradition in western Ireland, with significance as a ceremonial or funerary site.
