Freestanding circular-plan monumental tower, dated 1815. Rubble limestone walls. Cut limestone date plaque and memorial plaque with incised lettering. Slit window to north elevation, square-headed door opening to south elevation.

Built by William Bagwell of Marlfield in Tipperary in the grounds of his summer residence to commemorate the battle of Waterloo. Referred to locally as Bagwell's Folly. Although no longer visible from East Grove, it remains a striking feature visible from Bagwell’s Hill. Elevated site would have made it an eye-catching feature in the landscape. Makes interesting group with lodge, house, outbuildings and other towers.
