Freestanding cast-iron waterpump, erected c.1890, comprising banded cylindrical shaft with fluted neck and cap with finial and curved handle. Located at edge of open green in centre of village and surrounded by a modern limestone wall with stone paving.

Water pumps played an important social role in the nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries by providing a communal water source. This cast-iron pump now serves as an attractive piece of street furniture, aesthetically enhancing the streetscape of Multyfarnham.
