Cast-iron water pump, erected c.1870, with cylindrical shaft with raised horizontal banding, fluted upper section and cap with pointed finial and cow's tail pumping arm.
This water pump, though now ornamental rather than functional, exhibits artistic detailing in its design with its elegant curved handle, finial and banded shaft. It makes an interesting contribution to the street furniture and streetscape of Mohill.
