Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c. 1870, having fluted shaft and cap and lion's head spout. Finial missing.
Attractive cast-iron water pump located in its original position in the village of Ballymacoda. Once a supply for drinking water for the local community. Still functioning today. Well executed fluting. Elegantly designed lion's head enhances utilitarian object.
