On the Down Survey (1655-6) ‘Ballyn’ parish map, a watermill is depicted on the E bank of the Tifeaghna River which flows NW-SE. The accompanying terrier describes, 'at Tefeighney a Stone House and a Mill in repaire with some Cabbins'. The location of the mill within this portion of the townland is unknown.
