Killsheffin Burying Ground

On a steep S-facing slope on the side of a valley, in rolling grassland. Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 326-7) records that, 'The church of Sheffin stood in the extreme west end of the townland of Clonetubrid, within a few perches of the townland of Tifeaghna, and beside the public road from Clonetubrid chapel to Garranamanagh. It was obliterated long before anyone now living can remember'. He mentions that the associated graveyard (KK009-043002-) also went out of use, except for unbaptized children, but was levelled c. 1850.
