What is recorded here
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Lower deragrath' there 'stands …a grist mill wch. Grinds but for halfe a yeare for want of water' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'David ff linge of Clonmell. Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 317). This watermill is unlocated within the townland of Derrygrath Lower.
