What is recorded here
In tillage. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 70m) visible as a cropmark on satellite imagery (2021 Maxar Technologies, viewed May 2021), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère. The enclosure is defined by a fosse, visible from N-E-S. A field boundary runs NW-SE through the W sector and the SW-W portion of the monument is not visible in the adjacent field to the W. On the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map an area of woodland is shown at this location. On more recent satellite imagery (OS Ortho, imagery date c. 2010, viewed 30 June 2021) the E-SE edge of the enclosure is visible in an area of uncultivated ground. This area has since been reclaimed and is under tillage (satellite imagery 2021 Maxar Technologies).
