In 1621, as part of the plantation of Longford, Lisagh Duffe Farrall was granted lands in 'Aghenteese and Ballehonlegan [Ballyhoolivan] 136a and a water-mill' (Cal. pat. rolls Ire., Jas I, 533). The precise location of the water mill has not been identified.
