Water mill

Water mill, unclassified

What is recorded here

An inquisition in 1632 (Anon. 1826, Inq. 12 Car 1) records ‘a watermill’. Its precise location has not been identified. It is possible that the ‘Old Corn Mill’ shown on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map on the N bank of the Camlin River, c. 60m to the S of St John’s church (LF013-026001-), may have been built on its site or incorporate part of it.
