Cast-iron vent pipe, erected c.1870, with a cast-iron fluted base, and a replacement steel shaft with a crown top.
These sewer vent pipes are unusual and rare in small towns in Ireland. The fluted base is similar in form to cast-iron lamp standards of this era. This vent is particularly unusual in Duleek, as there is little or no nineteenth-century street features in the town.
