What is recorded here
Freestanding circular-profile vent pipe, erected c. 1870, having cast-iron fluted and banded base, fibre shaft, and cast-iron decorative cowling.
Interesting feature in streetscape. The banding and fluting are well-executed and along with the decorative cowling, add artistic interest to this utilitarian object.
