Wall-mounted inscribed cut-limestone plaque, dated 1864. Set in unpainted roughcast boundary wall.
A discrete feature in the streetscape salvaged from the Saint Canice's Catholic Widows Asylum complex in Dean Street (established, 1864; demolished, pre-1983) having associations with the Reverend Dean Gorman (n. d.). Carved details including the inscription displaying good quality craftsmanship enhance the visual appeal of the artefact.
