Uisinis rises to approximately 300 metres and is part of the rugged landscape of the Outer Hebrides. Its name, like many in the region, is of Gaelic origin, though specific folklore is not widely recorded. It matters as a topographic feature in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, contributing to the area's distinct mountainous character.
