Trinity Well (covered) — Forthill

In marshy scrub, outside SE corner of burial ground (CO125-008002-). Well covered by arch of brick and mortar (H 1.7m). Overgrown. Linked to Saint Trinian or the Holy Trinity, the well may have been a site of Christian pilgrimage and healing rituals. Local tradition sometimes associates such wells with protection from illness and blessings for safe childbirth.
