Marianne stood on the upper gallery of Trafalgar Tower, watching rain strip the valley below. She had built the room to hold a distant victory, but it caught only weather, shadow and her own breath. The tower still stands beside East Grove House, turning that private excitement into a public landmark.

Two-storey circular structure (int. diam. 9.5m; wall thickness 0.8m) built onto NE end of East Grove House. Polygonal pointed roof with projecting eaves supported on brackets. According to local information, built to celebrate battle of Trafalgar (1805); shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map.
