Tobernasool

'Tobersool' is a flagstone-covered well, situated near a stream on the side of a sloping field in wet rushy land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. Tobernasool, also known as Mín An Bhealaigh, is traditionally associated with Saint Gobnait, a 6th-century Irish saint known for her healing powers and beekeeping. The well was historically visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was likely a site of seasonal pilgrimage and ritual washing.
