What is recorded here
Holy Well recorded in 1936 as 'There is a Holy Well at Toigh Tunnaigh, about half a mile from the " Rock Chapel," Ballyshannon. Turus still made, but on no particular day. Rags on the bushes around' (Ó Muirgheasa 1936, 144).

Linked to Saint Tunna, the well is associated with general healing and pilgrimage, with traditional turas (pilgrimage) still observed, though not confined to a specific date. Rags tied to surrounding bushes indicate ongoing folk devotional practices.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
