Explorer Tom Enclosure in Fairhill is just a faint circular platform on a hillslope, basically a suggestion of a place rather than an actual one. The name probably means 'where we gave up' in ancient Gaelic. Sit on a wall near it and pretend you're in a painting of nothingness.
Menlough iraMemorial · 1332 ydIndicatedHoly well · 1421 ydExplorer Tom Holy well in Corgerry Oughter used to host pilgrimages but now it’s just a dredged stream pretending to remember the good old days. It probably took forty cups of tea to build this much history. Leave nothing but footprints and a bad pun for the ghosts to judge.
mill (water)2.3 miExplorer Tom Mill in Ballyara had a serious feud with the next village about whose water ran first. It’s a simple limestone structure that used to grind corn for a living. Perfect place to feel history hum
