Tobernagrann is a lost holy well beside a dredged Galway stream, reduced now to a buried limestone slab and overgrown water. It stood about 175 metres southeast of a church in rolling pasture, where people once believed the spring held grace. The well has vanished from ordinary sight, but the slab and memory suggest it gave life to the land before silence took it back.

On the E bank of a dredged stream in rolling pastureland, c. 175m SE of a church (GA116-021----). This natural spring well was regarded locally as a holy well but it has not been used as such for many years. On inspection, apart from a large limestone slab, which once covered it, no visible trace of the well survived. The adjacent stream was overgrown. Tobernagrann is associated with Saint Grann, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and was traditionally visited for its supposed healing properties, particularly for skin ailments. The well's name, derived from "Tobar na Grann," reflects its historical connection to the saint and local Christian devotion.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
