Tobermurry is a forgotten holy well in County Clare, Ireland, named for Muire and recorded near Kilmurry Church. It appears now as a small natural pool with a stream, lacking visible structures or local ritual memory. The loss of its meaning suggests people stopped visiting, stopping the well from being remembered as sacred.

On flat ground on the NW side of a NE-SW ridge, and c. 130m NNW of Kilmurry Church (CL038-010001-). Named on the OS maps in Gothic script as 'Tobermurry' (from Muire) and described in the Ordnance Survey Letters as a defunct holy well (O'Flanagan 1928, vol. 1, 346). On inspection in 2002 this was found to be a natural pool (diam. c. 4m) with a stream running off to NNW. There were no remaining structures and it was not known locally as a holy well. Tobermurry is associated with Saint Mury (or Muire), a lesser-known early Irish saint linked to several holy wells in Munster. The well was traditionally visited for its supposed healing properties, particularly for eye ailments and general wellness, with rituals often involving the collection of water at dawn.
