At the N edge of a shelf on a slight N-facing slope. Listed as 'enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 36m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 6-6.8m; Wth of top 1.4-3.6m; ext. H 1.1-2.2m) which is best preserved (Wth of base 8.6m; Wth of top 2m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2.5m) NW-E, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 7.3m at S to 8.4-9.2m generally; Wth of base 2m at E to 3.4-4m generally; ext. D 0.3-0.7m). The entrance (Wth 4m) and slight causeway are at ESE, and the perimeter is circumscribed by a field bank S-W.
