Tobermurry

Tobermurry/Tobar Muire: This was a 'small well about 2 feet (0.6m) wide and covered overhead with a flag' (OSNB Stradbally, 23) but it has now been destroyed. It was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, patroness of Stradbally Parish, and rounds were formerly made here on the 15th of August (OSL; Ó Danachair 1960, 77).
