On E side of Fuagh Leo (Ooghleo on OS 6-inch map) on S shore of the island. Tobar Leo consists of a small irregularly shaped natural rockpool on a ledge, fed from a spring in the rock face above it. Toberleo is associated with Saint Leo, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and is traditionally linked to cures for eye ailments and general healing. The well’s location on a rocky ledge suggests it may have been a site of pilgrimage and ritual washing, common in early Christian and pre-Christian Irish traditions.
