Toberbreedy is a lost holy well north of Templebreedy church, buried under decades of green growth. It may have given clean water to thirsty travellers or marked a boundary between human fields and wild terrain. The earth keeps its own counsel, hiding what it wants hidden.

Linked to Saint Breedy (Brigid), the well is associated with healing traditions and may have been a site of pilgrimage. Local folklore suggests it was visited for cures, particularly for eye ailments and general health, with rituals often involving the collection of water on specific holy days.
