In wet low-lying marshland close to td. boundary. A natural spring well, beside which lies a small rectangular round-headed slab (H 0.99m, Wth 0.35m) depleting a crucifixion scene and dated 1762. Tober Maoile is associated with Saint Mael, a 6th-century Irish monk and hermit known for his ascetic practices and healing miracles. The well and adjacent 1762 stone carving of a crucifixion scene reflect a tradition of Christian pilgrimage and devotion linked to local folklore of miraculous cures and spiritual renewal.
