Tizona

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Tizona as Steamship (period Unassigned)-(1917). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Tizona was a steamship built in 1917, later involved in World War II as a minesweeper; it was lost in 1940 after striking a mine off the Scottish coast, resulting in the deaths of all 16 crew members. The wreck is recognized for its wartime significance and as a reminder of the dangers faced by naval and auxiliary vessels during the conflict.
