Explorer Tom Lowe Hill, Wakefield is a motte and bailey castle where the Vikings definitely got lost looking for the front door. They probably wandered up the hill, got confused by the lack of walls, and went home to eat fish. It’s all about the confusion of medieval architecture without any modern signage to help you out. Perfect spot to practise your best tour-guide voice.
