Detached eight-bay three-storey house, built 1877, with pubfront inserted to ground floor having accommodation above. Slate hipped-roof with decorative bracketed eaves. Remains of early timber pubfront. Four end bays on Albert Street formerly terraced houses.
Distinctive public house on a prominent corner site which, although some windows have been replaced with uPVC, retains a partially intact timber pubfront which adds to the building's significance.
